"Art is still quite difficult. Artists are still artists and the culture outside art is still outside it; it hasn't moved in with abstractions and difficulty. It has just given art a different job -- not to be so serious all the time. 'You're fired!' the ordinary world says to abstractions and difficulties in art. 'But you're on double overtime with big Christmas bonuses!' it says to all blandness in art."

(Matthew Collings, from This is Modern Art)

Are you calling Stephanie Meyer bland? I hope so.

Uh, what do you think?

I tried to think of something even blander than Thomas Kincaide (sp, and I don't even care to look up the sp). Bingo.

John Zorn isn't that exciting either.
